CAULK APPLICATION
As with adhesive the area must be free from dirt and be dry. Cut the tip off the tube of caulk at a slight angle, opening a hole approximate 1/8th”. Note: Estimated usage at a bead of 1/8” to be approximately 40 linear feet per tube. Apply a bead of caulk at all joints where the panels meet one another, where the molding elements meet the panels, mounting surface and all of your mitre joints.

Be sure you apply enough caulk to fill your joints. Prior to caulking your outside miter joints, round off the joint with a file or sand paper and then dab on the caulk with your finger. To make the caulk lines perfect, take a damp (not wet) sponge and very lightly brush your lines. Also lightly brush all your mitre joints, Dab a tiny bit of caulk in to any nail holes or damaged areas that are showing. | |
